innovative education

Since she first began teaching at Queens College in 2010, Emily has been devoted to her students in the Fashion and Textiles program, working to provide industry-standard training used in the fashion trades that will serve them after college. She aims to bring students the most innovative, multi-disciplinary practices in fashion, material culture studies, and the arts and design. These course offerings include integrating material culture artifacts into the curriculum, collections management and hands-on internship training in a fashion archive, and a full range of exhibition practices. Emily has guided and worked with students on five exhibitions featuring the Queens College Fashion and Textiles Collection.
